“The Pride of FPS Goes Gold”

The Pride of FPS just wrapped up their busiest week yet. Friday morning, the high school band travelled to Central Elementary and Jefferson Intermediate to welcome students as they came to school and walked the halls with the football team.
That afternoon, the band marched downtown in the Fairbury Homecoming Parade. As they made their way around the square, they performed their marching song “Funkytown”, school song, and drum cadence. At the conclusion of the parade, the band played the school song once again to welcome the homecoming royalty candidates, especially one of our own, Trinity Hotchkiss! The band would like to congratulate your 2024 Homecoming King and Queen Feddy and Nadalie Leon!
Lastly, the band cheered on the Jeffs football team and performed for pep band that evening at the Homecoming football game. The theme for this homecoming week and game was Retro Disco. In response to that the Fairbury High School Marching Band donned their previous uniforms which display our school colors, crimson and gold. The students had lots of fun wearing a part of FPS history and embracing the name “The Golden Pride”.
