Soh…
Sine = Opposite / Hypotenuse
…cah…
Cosine = Adjacent / Hypotenuse
…toa
Tangent = Opposite / Adjacent

Lemonade Stand!

After advertising all week, Marketing students competed to sell the most lemonade during lunch today. Teams differentiated themselves by adding fresh fruit, making different varieties, and one even added paper pick up lines with each cup.

Earlier – Marketing class created a stir with advertisements for their upcoming lemonade stand sales. Local celebrities Mr. Martin and Mr. Suey have also appeared in ads, sparking more word-of-mouth marketing for the event.

During Info Tech Class, students were solving mysterious crimes using a fictitious criminal database. Students followed a scavenger hunt to find clues for additional suspects and imported a spreadsheet of criminals. Thanks to the students, 3 suspects have been identified. #jeffpride!

Michelle Hanson Receives the Jeffs’ Best Award!

The Jeffs’ Best Award was created by the Fairbury Public Schools Board of Education to highlight and celebrate the great work of our staff. On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to congratulate Michelle Hanson, Fairbury Public School’s Intervention Coordinator, as the recipient of the March Jeffs’ Best Award!  These are her nomination statements:

Michelle has a multifaceted job that she regularly completes with a positive attitude. She is flexible in fulfilling her jobs. Sometimes we need a last minute training-she does it. Sometimes we need her to sub-she does it. Sometimes we need her to prepare last minute paperwork-she does it. She prepares materials for parents. She creates para schedules. She monitors completion of paperwork. She completes fidelity checks. She completes everything we need her to quickly, accurately and quietly. She is a daily “jeffs best” and I hope we are able to recognize her for all she does!
This is my first year at Fairbury public schools and Michelle has welcomed me with open arms and has helped me and guided me!
She is always willing to help me out with anything I need. She is super friendly and is hardworking.   Michelle is definitely one of Fairbury public schools BEST!
