Jefferson Intermediate students in the HAL Program (students in 2nd-6th) finished off the year with break-out Escape Rooms they created for their parents. They had to use clues, created by the students, to break out of their designated rooms. This was just one of the many creative activities that were completed.
Throughout the year, Mrs. Bowen worked in collaboration with district staff to enhance learning opportunities that include building bird houses, learning about the Arts, utilizing critical thinking skills through project based learning, and many other projects. Mrs. Bowen would like to give a shout out to Thomas Dux, Tori Holly, Connie Schouboe, the members of the FFA Club, David Grein, and Shannon Honold for the ongoing support given throughout the year. Next year’s focus will be to continue to build higher level thinking and collaboration skills in the areas of Financial Literacy, Woodworking, Music/Arts, and Project Based Learning.

Several students from the high school Energizers group did a smoking vaping prevention presentation for the 4th grade classes. The students explained the dangers of smoking and vaping, showed the students pig lungs that had been damaged by smoking, and had the students do a breathing activity that showed how smoking can limit the amount of oxygen that enters your lungs. Huge shout out to Mrs. Engle-Evans, Dr. Winter and the rest of the Energizers for all you do for our school!
