Fairbury Teacher Mick Suey Honored With Golden Wheel Award
FAIRBURY, Neb. — Mick Suey was recognized for the Golden Wheel Award from the Fairbury Rotary Club.
Suey was recognized for his hard work in helping out the community through his many different projects and involvement.

FPS Students Place in the Jefferson County Spelling Bee
On Tuesday, October 10, 2023, ten students from Jefferson Intermediate competed in the Jefferson County Spelling Bee with other Jefferson County schools at Jefferson County Fairgrounds. The students representing Jefferson Intermediate were:
Jessa Barnett, Arabella Boomgaarn, Valentina Chavez, Bryce DeVol, Westin Dux, Oakley Ebke, Grant Heidemann, Connar Johnson, Eliza Smith, and Witten Taylor,
Three of our students placed in the top ten:
- Westin Dux – 1st Place
- Jessa Barnett – 3rd Place
- Grant Heidemann – 10th Place
Our students all gave their best effort and represented Jefferson Intermediate in such an awesome way! Great work team! We are very proud of you!
