Fairbury Public Schools is seeking applicants for a part-time K-2 PE teacher for the 2019-2020 school year.  Applicants shall hold a Nebraska Teaching Certificate with endorsements in the required area.

PBIS Coach & Coordinator/Mental Health

Fairbury Public Schools is seeking applicants for a PBIS Coach & Coordinator/Mental Health position for the 2019-2020 school year.

 Facilitate PBiS teams at each building

    • Coach staff with Tier 1 strategies
    • Support Behavior response at the HS primarily, but will be available for all buildings
    • Coordinate Tier 2 program development and implementation
    • Utilize SW screening data to support PBiS at all buildings
  • Provide Tier 3 services as needed

This person will work closely with the District Admin team to ensure PBiS strategies are implemented with fidelity in all buildings.  They will also provide behavior and Mental Health support for our secondary student primarily, but also as needed in the other buildings.

Sign Language Interpreter

Fairbury Public Schools is accepting applications for an educational sign language interpreter.  The educational sign language interpreter would be responsible for effectively facilitating communication and education access for students who are Deaf or hard of hearing.  Their primary role of the educational sign language interpreter is to represent instruction, interactions, and auditory information in the language modality used by the child in order to allow for full participation in the educational experience.

This position is a full time position.

Successful applicants must meet the requirements of 92 NAC 51 (Nebraska Special Education Rule 51).

The Fairbury Public School District offers a competitive substitute salary and high quality teaching and learning environments in our four school sites – Fairbury Jr/Sr High, Jefferson Intermediate, Central Elementary and CHANCE Alternative schools.

Note that individuals with four-year degrees, as well as those with a minimum of 60 college credit hours, may be eligible to apply for a “Local Substitute Teaching Certificate“. This provision allows qualified applicants the opportunity to substitute teach in one designated school district.
