Students Take Virtual Field Trips to Learn About WW2

As a part of their English unit on The Human Connection, sophomores read several pieces that take place during WW2. These pieces include works such as The Book Thief and Night. Both of these pieces require understanding the impact and events of this moment in world history. In order to build background information students were able to explore places like the United States Holocaust Museum, the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp site, and the Anne Frank house using Meta Quest VR headsets. This technology allowed students to view these locations in a 360, interactive view.

Amy Campbell Winner of the Chromebook Background Design Contest!

Fairbury Jr. Sr. High School  had its first ever Chromebook Background Design Contest.  We had such a great response that we plan to open it up next week for January submissions.
It was narrowed  down to the top 10 designs (we had almost FIFTY submitted). This is the design thatwon by an overall staff vote. Voting was completely anonymous, staff could only see the design but not who created it.
Congratulations to Amy Campbell, Sophomore, on being selected!  Great work Amy!!
