Pink Out Week Coming Soon

On August 21 at 7:50 am, we held an FBLA meeting with 52 members in attendance. We discussed the dues that need to be paid by September 6th. We also talked about Pink Out Week, September 8-14, where you can buy a shirt, and all the proceeds will be donated to our hospital to support local cancer patients. Additionally, we covered the FLC and NFLC event, which will take place in Columbus, Ohio, and any interested member is welcome to attend. Lastly, we encouraged everyone to sign up for the upcoming committees as we begin our new year. Our next meeting is scheduled for September 3rd!

The Pride of FPS

The Fairbury High School Marching Band travelled to Grand Island on Monday, August 26th to perform at the Nebraska State Fair. The band got to display the pep tunes they’ve been practicing and the marching skills they’ve been learning. The percussion section also got to show off their 2024 cadence “BUMPER“. The band sounded great! It was a really hot day, and these musicians toughed it out. Despite the heat, they gave their all. After they marched, the band had some free time to explore the state fair before returning to Fairbury to finish the school day.

Next stop, Yorkfest Parade in York, NE on September 7th.

You can catch the band in action at home in Fairbury on Thursday, August 29th cheering on Jeffs Volleyball against Freeman, and on Friday, September 6th supporting Jeffs Football against Fillmore Central!
