On October 17, Central Elementary and Jefferson Intermediate Schools welcomed Author Vanessa Roeder to visit with grades K-6. She talked to children about her 2022-23 Golden Sower Nominee The Box Turtle and each session included a drawing demonstration and question/answer session. In commemoration of Hispanic Heritage month, Spanish II prepared a Living Wax Museum. Students gave speeches in Spanish and English touting the accomplishments of their favorite individual with a Latino background.
