Turkey Your Principal
FCCLA will be sponsoring the annual Turkey Your Principal canned food drive. Central Elementary, Jefferson Intermediate, and Fairbury High School will all be collecting non-perishable food items the week of November 13-17. The school that collects the most pounds of food will win the competition and the designated Principal of the winning school will wear a turkey costume the week of Thanksgiving. FCCLA members will go to Central and Jefferson today to explain the project to the children. We will distribute totes for the food items. The non-perishable food items will be donated to Fairbury Blue Valley Food Pantry. Last year’s winner was Mr. Molloy as the Fairbury Jr. Sr. High Principal. Thank you for all your support!!

FBLA American Enterprise Project
American Enterprise started with our 4th graders! What a great experience to have with our high school students! During the month of November, Fairbury FBLA conducts their annual American Enterprise project. This year, four classes of Fairbury Elementary fourth-graders will be taught the meaning of American Enterprise, the importance of spending locally and the multiplier effect which happens when money is spent within the community. The annual American Enterprise project is enjoyed by all students.

A Visit With Illustrator Chloe Burgett
Our students were fortunate to listen to Chloe Burgett, an illustrator! They were able to read one of the books she illustrated, plus help her create a creature! Thank you PTA for sponsoring this event, and Mrs. Simpson for setting it all up!
