The Jeffs’ Best Award was created by the Fairbury Public Schools Board of Education to highlight and celebrate the great work of our staff. On behalf of the Board of Education, I would like to congratulate Jill Davis, Central Office Staff and Assessment Coordinator, as the recipient of the April Jeffs’ Best Award! These are her nomination statements:
Jill has given so much of her time and energy to Fairbury Public Schools over the last 20 years, as a sub, para educator, assessment coordinator in addition to the other “hats” she wears every day. She’s loyal to the district, her peers and truly loves her job. Jill, like so many FPS staff, embodies what it means to be Jeffs’ Best.
Jill Davis wears SO many hats for our district. As the data steward, she handles everything on the back end for us for state and standardized testing. I cannot begin to imagine the amount of time and preparation that she puts in behind the scenes so that our testing can run smoothly. She handles so many things for us all that she is the ultimate, if you don’t know, “ask Jill”. Not only
does her job description (which she continually exceeds) include a wide berth of duties and plethora of skills, she is always taking on new tasks, assisting at every level. Jill is always there with a friendly smile, ready and willing to jump in and help wherever she is needed. Jill really is a pillar of the district, and we are genuinely blessed to have her.

Jill is a great asset to our staff. She is willing to help out in any way possible. She is very knowledgeable about data and assessment, but also student growth and achievelement. If you ever enter the central office, she will greet you will a smile and willingness to help in any way. Our district is blessed to have Jill, and she is well deserving of this honor.
