Miss Mohr’s kindergarten math class was acting out story problems using bears. Students got to make up their own stories such as, “Four bears went to the park. Then two bears went home. How many bears are at the park now?” “Three bears were at the park. Two more bears came to the park. Now there are five bears at the park.” They were also practicing counting with one-to-one correspondence. Students had fun “Acting Out” math for a real life math experience.
