Light the Way on January 5th

For the past 27 years, the Fairbury Education Association (FEA) has donated time and money to help families within our community during the holiday season through our Light the Way campaign. Previous beneficiaries have included families who have experienced a fire, a death in the family, an accident, or have major medical concerns,or just struggling financially to name a few. We as FEA members, feel this is a way to give back to our community and students by helping someone through financial difficulty.

We are seeking your support for this worthy cause. This year, after receiving input from several different sources, FEA has selected Jenifer Coffin and her three children, ranging from Preschool through fourth grade. She is a single mom, raising three daughters: a 4th grader, a 1st grader, and a preschooler. She is currently unemployed, facing lots of struggles and a few medical issues.

Our campaign will be collecting donations at any of the Fairbury School Sites. You can also mail donations to Central Elementary School, in ℅ Sabrina Wanamaker. Please have your donations postmarked by December 31st. On Saturday, January 5th, we will light the entrance to Fairbury High School during the girls and boys basketball games against Aurora. All donations are tax deductible and receipts will be provided upon request. Any monetary donation you provide to this very needy and appreciative family will make a difference in their lives.

The Light the Way Committee appreciates your help in making a difference in the lives of this family and these students.  light the way (1)
